Inflation Risk
Inflation hedging is becoming more popular with our clients as they increasingly look to hedge this volatile risk, often over long periods of time. The nature of index linked income/expenditure can produce material gains or losses and we can advise you as to the best way to mitigate these exposures.
Instruments such as RPI, CPI and LPI swaps are now common place, together with inflation caps and floors. Structuring and pricing these derivatives can be complex and opaque and we offer clients our expertise to ensure that the appropriate hedging structure has been chosen and to negotiate fair and transparent pricing with the hedge provider.
